Sharing 27 years of love of is a gift. Let’s dive deeper to see how God defines love.

27 Years of Love

1 Corinthians 13:4 bible verse

Love is Patient, and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand it’s own way, it is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices when the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstances. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Real World Love

I wish I could say the success of our 27 years of marriage is based on behaving this way 100% of the time. But of course, that wouldn’t be the truth. In fact, I don’t believe anyone can attain this level of selfless love on their own. But if you include Jesus in the equation, you have a shot. He’s the only one who gave up everything, died for us and rose again to give us eternal life. Now that’s selfless love.

With this sustaining love, our marriage endures. The words I cling to from this scripture are “never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” These are the words from my heart to yours Michael. Happy Anniversary. I love you.
