Turkey Leftovers Reinvented
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. If you were the host for this year’s feast, you may find yourself blessed with an abundance of turkey leftovers. Instead of making the standard turkey sandwich, how about reinventing those leftovers into some tasty new meals? I have dug into my archives and come up with 3 yummy recipes for you to try. Each of these recipes are great comfort food options which are sure to please. Two out of three are quite easy to make – Turkey a la King and Turkey Tortilla Casserole.
While the Turkey Pot Pies are a little more work, they use ready-made pie crust, which streamlines the preparation. The leftovers from our early Thanksgiving dinner found their way into these individual Turkey Pot Pies. They are a perfect option for Mike and I because we can bake just what we need for a single meal. Our relaxing Thanksgiving day consisted of popping these from the freezer into the oven, adding a tossed salad and dessert and voila, instant (lazy day) meal!
Serve Turkey a la King over rice, mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles
