Ingredients
1/3c.all-purpose flour
1/2c.packed light brown sugar
1/3c.regular oats
1/4tsp.ground cinnamon
1/4tsp.nutmeg
1/4cupchilled buttercut into small pieces
3tbsp.chopped pecans
7c.slicedpeeled apples (about 3 pounds) - I used Braeburn
1/4cupmaple syrup
1/2tspcinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°.
Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, sugar, oats, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon & nutmeg in a medium bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender, 2 knives, or with your fingers, until mixture is crumbly. Stir in pecans.
Combine apple and remaining ingredients in a large bowl; toss well. Spoon apple mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish or 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
