Ingredients
8ouncescream cheeseroom temperature
1/3cupmayoI use Hellmann's Light - don't use salad dressing for heaven's sake!
1-2tablespoonmilk
2-3teaspoongrated sweet onion
Instructions
Beat room temperature cream cheese and milk with hand mixer until thinned. Add mayo and beat until well combined. The key to this dip is to create a lighter and creamy dip that you can actually plow a potato chip through.
Add grated onion and beat until combined. Note - if you have never grated an onion, do not be alarmed when what you end up with is a little puddle of onion pulp and liquid. That's exactly what you want for this recipe. Do also take the time to seek out a sweet onion. Most larger grocery stores stock them year round these days. Other onions impart too strong of a flavor.
Refrigerate for several hours so flavors can blend.
