BLT Dip with Lettuce Dippers

November 22, 2021 by cathyscooking@gmail.com Leave a Comment

Ranch dip with bacon and tomato on lettuce leaves.

BLT Dip with Lettuce Dippers is a fun, easy appetizer that tastes like everyone’s favorite sandwich!

Crisp smokey bacon and tasty tomatoes give a new twist to creamy ranch dressing. It’s like eating a BLT without the carb-heavy bread! Small romaine leaves hold a perfect portion of dip. They also make you feel less guilty about all that creamy indulgence. Of course, you can throw caution to the win and break out the chips, or crackers as well. No judgment here.

BLT Dip with Lettuce Dippers – Helpful Hints

  • Plan to make the dip a few hours in advance so it can chill for maximum flavor.
  • I used a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dip but either the dressing or dip option will work.
  • Seeding the tomatoes prevents the dip from getting too watery.
  • Chopping the bacon and tomatoes into smaller pieces makes it easier to serve.
  • If you purchase a 3-pack of romaine spears you can select the smaller leaves and save the rest of the lettuce for salads.
  • I know the recipe calls for lettuce leave dippers, but spooning the dip onto the lettuce leaves actually works best.
