Anniversary Lunch
Pretty in Pink
We recently celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary with a lunch featuring these delectable shrimp. They looked so pretty paired with a Brut Rose Champagne. Our menu also featured Proscuitto, Fig & Caramelized Onion Pizza. and gourmet chocolates from Chocolate Celeste.
Make It Your Own
I adapted this recipe from Taste of Home’s Garlicky Herbed Shrimp. Mainly I dialed down the garlic and used fresh herbs from my own trusty herb pot. Summer gets big bonus points in my book because a pinch of flavor is just a snip away. Here are some other ideas for customizing this recipe:
- Use additionally chopped garlic to punch up the garlic factor (assuming you don’t have a date.)
- Substitute or add other herbs like parsley, tarragon, green onions, or chives
- Add some veggies like peppers, onion, zucchini, or cherry tomatoes. I recommend sauteing the vegetables first. Then remove them and keep them warm. Once the shrimp are sauteed, add the veggies back in and finish with the squeeze of lemon and fresh herbs.
