Is there anything better than a recipe that’s super simple and simply delicious? I agree! There are just two main things you have to remember. First, plan ahead so you can marinate the pork chops for up to 24 hours if possible.

The other must is an instant-read thermometer to prevent overcooking. If you can swing those steps, you will fall in love with these tender flavorful chops. Simply mix up the marinade, pop in the chops, and let these flavors work their magic.

Great with Steak Too!

I initially posted this marinade with my Grilled Rosemary Flank Steak recipe. This is another family fav. But I am still working my way through the meat bundle I purchased from Hy-Vee which included an abundance of pork chops. So I’ve enjoyed experimenting with new recipes.

In addition to this latest recipe, the Greek Pork Chops with Potato Kabobs is another one of my success stories.

What to Serve with Your Marinated Rosemary-Soy Pork Chops

I was shooting for a low-stress family meal that still felt special when I selected this main course. There were multiple reasons why.

First, we had limited time to hang out with our daughter and grandson who were in town for a long weekend. So I conjured up an easy recipe to minimize prep time. I also needed to spare my tendonitis-wracked wrist. If you’ve been wondering why the pace of new posts for ItsThyme2Cook has slowed lately, my wrist is the reason.

So the easy peasy menu consisted of Twice-Baked Potatoes that were also part of the Hy-Vee meat bundle, a Cesar salad kit, and Pillsbury crescent rounds. I’d never seen this round version of the classic crescent roll before. But when I did, I thought, hey that’s slick, I don’t even have to wrap the rolls into mishappen crescent shapes! Yup, that’s the level of simplicity I was shooting for with this meal.

Prep Time: 10 minutes minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes minutes
Marinate Time: 1 day day
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp.minced rosemary

Pork Chops

  • 6 boneless pork chops (3/4" thick)

Instructions

  • Mix all marinade ingredients in a small bowl or liquid measuring cup. Place pork chops in a large zip lock bag and add the marinade, coating the meat well. Seal the bag and refrigerate overnight.
  • Remove meat from the refrigerator and place it on the counter as you heat the grill. Remove chops from the bag and discard the marinade. Grill 4-5 minutes per side or until an instant-read meat thermometer reaches 145 degrees.
  • Let chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Notes: I recommend marinating the chops for at least 8 hours. I like to shoot for 24 hours which yields a nice flavorful chop.
