Sick of the canned soup and pasta yet? Give these Turkey and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Patties a try!
Delicious, low carb and Keto friendly, these are a great option for a healthy meal. Roasted red pepper hummus keeps the patties moist. Additional chopped roasted red peppers and a dash of spices from the pantry provide plenty of flavor. Then we top them off with a creamy (and healthy) Yogurt Dill Sauce. In all honesty, this is my favorite part. Yum!
Making the Turkey and Red Pepper Hummus Patties
I love how easy and fast these Turkey and Red Pepper Hummus patties are to throw together. The lack of bread or cracker crumbs however results in a fairly wet meat mixture. With this in mind, I have the following recommendations.
- Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions on your cutting board or a sheet pan.
- Gently pat each portion into a thick patty shape.
- When cooking, use two spatulas when flipping patties to help them stay together.
- Reheat any leftovers gently in the microwave (I used 50% power for a minute or two.) They remain moist even after reheating.
Sauce & Optional Sides
- Don’t skip the Yogurt Dill Sauce! It adds a creamy, satisfying touch that marries up perfectly with the red pepper flavor.
- You can add any combination of these additional sides; mixed greens, sliced tomatoes or cherry tomatoes, feta, kalamata olives, cucumber, sliced red onion and additional fresh dill.
- If you aren’t doing the low carb or keto thing, pita bread is another great idea.

Turkey & Red Pepper Hummus Patties
Ingredients
Turkey Patties
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic finely minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup roasted red pepper hummus I used Sabra
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers chopped
- 1 egg beaten
Dill Yogurt Sauce
- 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
Turkey Patties
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Combine garlic, pepper, salt, onion powder and chili powder in a bowl and stir. Add turkey, hummus, roasted red pepper and beaten egg. Mix gently with a fork or your hands until everything is well incorporated.
- Form into 8 patties. Note- because the meat mixture is fairly moist, I started by making 8 equal size balls on a cutting board and then patted them gently into a thick patty.
- Cook until golden brown on both sides (about 4 minutes per side). Using two spatulas to turn the patties helps them stay together. Serve with dill yogurt sauce and optional sides.
Dill Yogurt Sauce
- Mix all ingredients and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
