Basil Green Goddess Dressing is a creamy flavorful dressing or dip which gets it's delightful color from basil and green onion.

Ingredients
Green Goddess Dressing
1/2c.light mayonnaiseI use Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
1/2c.sliced green onionsgreen part only - about 5 green onions
1/2c.chopped fresh basil
2tbsp.fresh lemon juice
1/2tsp.minced garlicor more, to taste
1/2tsp.anchovy pasteor finely minced anchovies
1/2tsp.kosher salt
freshly ground black peppera few grinds, or to taste
1/2c.sour creamlight or regular
1tbsp.wateroptional

Blender or Food Processer
Salad
chopped romaineor use can use bib, leaf, or whatever lettuce you prefer
3small vine ripened tomatoescut into wedges or coarsely chopped
4slicescrisply cooked baconchopped
1avocadocut into thin slices or cubes
Instructions
Green Goddess Dressing
Place mayonnaise, green onions, basil, lemon juice, garlic, anchovy paste, salt and pepper in blender and blend until smooth. Add sour cream and process just until blended. If dressing seems too thick, add 1 tbsp. water and process until smooth.
Salad
If serving salad plated, toss salad greens with desired amount of dressing. Then plate salad and top with tomatoes, bacon and avocado. Drizzle with a little more dressing.
If serving salad family style, combine all salad ingredients with desired amount of dressing, toss and serve.
