Ingredients
1c.buttersoftened
1c.brown sugar
1egg yolk
2tsp.vanilla
2c.flour
1package semi sweet or milk chocolate chips12 oz.
1c.coarsely chopped toasted pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream (thoroughly mix) butter and sugar together. Add egg yolk and vanilla and beat to combine. Gradually beat in flour, until smooth and blended. Spread in ungreased 13x9" pan. Bake for 18 minutes for softer crust. Bake 25-20 minutes for firmer crust.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on hot crust. Let stand about 5 minutes or until chocolate is soft; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts.
Cool bars at least 30 minutes in pan on wire rack before cutting.
